! 'RESOLUTION NO. 145-80
A RESOLUTION of the Board of Commissioners of
Jefferson County, Washington, authorizing
the signing of an Interlocal Cooperation
agreement between the Commissioners and
other municipalities on the North Olympic
Peninsula for the purpose of submitting a
pre-application for Community Development
Block Grant Funds.
WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners of Jefferson
County recognizes the need for improved community facilities,
increased economic and housing opportunities for low and moderate
income people, correcting health and safety deficiencies in
public facilities and deconcentrated low income housing, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Jefferson County have
expressed an interest in meeting these needs, and
~HEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban
Development has financial aid available under the Small Cities
Program of the Community Development Block Grant Program of 1978,
now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Jefferson County to join Clallam County, the Town of Forks,
City of Port Angeles, City of Port Townsend, and the City of
Sequim, in the submission of an application for Small Cities
Program, Community Development Block Grant Funds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners
of Jefferson County will sign the Interlocal Cooperation
Agreement necessary for submission of a joint application for
Block Grant Funds from the Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
PASSED by the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson
County, Washington, this
