RESOLUTION NO. 169-80
HEARING NOTICE
PROPOSED BUDGET EXTENSION
JEFFERSON COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, there is a need to extend the Jefferson County Road
Department Budget for 1980 in the sum of $181,322.68, to include the said
amount received from the Federal Forest Funds, which is a portion of the
total amount received for 1980; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of making the budget for 1980, and the sum of $181,322.68
is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests
of Jefferson County that the extension be made; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an
extension be made for the Jefferson County Road Department in the amount of
$181,322.68, to be used to pay additional county expenses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency extension and that said hearing be held in the County Commissioners'
Chambers, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 22nd day of December,
1980, at the hour of 10:00a.m.; and that notice of said hearing be published
in the official newspaper of Jefferson County; and that at said hearing any
interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the extension
for such alleged emergency. .
