RESOLUTION NO. 39-79
Pursuant to RCW 36,40.140, the Board of Jefferson Coun.t:y
Commissioners, in open public meeting, after proper notice hereby
finds that the following facts constitute a public emergency, other
than such as are specifically described in RCW 36.40.180, which could
not reasonably been forseen at the time of making the budget:
On December 18, 1978, the Juvenile Probation Administrator appeared
before the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners, advising the
Board that a 1972 Dodge Dart, property of Clallam County and assigned
to the Jefferson County Probation Department, was, as a result of icy
road conditions, wrecked in an accident occuring in Jefferson County,
It was determined the costs for repatrs was far in excess of the actual
value of said vehicle? and same was disposed of at public auction.
The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners recognizing the need for
a vehicle for the Jefferson County Juvenile Probation Department,
authorized in conjunction with vehicles being leased for the Jefferson
County Sheriff's Department, the leasing of a vehicle for the Jefferson
County Probation Department, subject to public approval.

The Board of 'Jefferson County Commissioners further finds that
the estimated amount of money required to meet this public emergency
is $ 1890,00 (Vehicle lease $1690.00, Maintence Contract $200.00),
