RESOLUTION NO. 53-79
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Civil Service Commission has
insufficient funds in their 1979 budget to cover costs incurred for payment
of salaries and wages, supplies, and other services and charges caused by
an additional workload not anticipated at the time of preparing their budget,
and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners
that a need and emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contem-
plated at the time of making the budget for 1979, and the sum of $1000.24
is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is for the best interests
of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation be made for the Jefferson County Civil Service Commis-
sion in the amount of $1000.24 to be used for the above stated catagories.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis-
sioners' Chamber, Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, on the 4th day of
June, 1979, at the hour of 10:3Qa.m.; and the notice of said hearing be
published in the official newspaper of Jefferson County, and that at said
hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the
appropriation for such alleged emergency.
