HomeMy WebLinkAbout075A 79 RESOLUTION NO. 75-79A INTENT TO VACATE WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System: The vacation of all that part of the Port Ludlow Paradise Road lying outside the relocation of this said road at the junction with the Port Ludlow Road as shown on the plan of this relocation for Pope & Talbot Development, Inc., Port Ludlow No.4. Plan dated January 2, 1979, Sheet 1 of 1 on file at the Jefferson County Department of Public Works. and in contemplation of the language of the statute RCW 36.87.010, the same is useless, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it; FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County Road System in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be filed as soon as possible.
