Home My WebLink About094 79 'I ,(I) (II 1 tl RESOLUTION NO. 94-79 ORDER BUDGET EXTENSION JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMUNITY COUNSELING SERVICE AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County, did, on the 24th day of September, 1979, declare that an emergency existed to provide additional funds for the Jefferson County Community Counseling Service and the Developmental Disabilities Program in the sum of $10,192.00 for Mental Health; and $2,224.00 for Bayshore Discretionary D.D.; and set a hearing on said emergency for October 1, 1979 at the hour of 10:30 a.m.; WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was published for one week in the local newspaper as required by law; and WHEREAS, this being the time and place set for said hearing, and no objection or objection interposed; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of County Commissioenrs, that there be and there is hereby appropriated for the Jefferson County Community Counseling Service and Developmental Disabilities Program budget the sum of $10,192.00 for Mental Health; and $2,224.00 for Bayshore Discretionary D.D. in unexpended funds to be reimbursed by State Grants; and be it FURTHER ORDERED, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby empowered to draw warrants against the attached accounts, not exceeding the gross amount so approp~iated unless a review is applied for within five days from date hereof. ~ day of October, 1979. The amendment is the result of added state revenues for 1979. The salary increase shown in expenditures will be used to rrove Steve Sirron fran 60% to full tirre (beginning September 1) He will be doing some administrative work in the additional two days he will be working. Also included in salaries is $1000 for vacation relief staff and possible temporary clerical help during budget tirre. The annunt added to professional services will cover the following i terns. 1. The hospital requires that we hire a deputy to stay with difficult patients who are on 72-hour hold for Involuntary Coomi tment . This was not included in the original budget. ($2662) 2. We are required by the state to pay a consulting psychiatrist to review Title XIX cases. ($2662) 3. We will be hiring a consultant to research the feasibility of starting a day-treatment program for mentally ill people in Port Townsend. ($1120) We are also attaching the state required amendment to the program budget, which is for your information only, since the auditor's office does not run our budget in the program form.
