EMERGENCY BUDGET APPROPRIATION
ASSESSOR~S OFFICE
SETTING OF HEARING DATE
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Assessor's Office has requested an
emergency budget extension due to their budget for 1979 having insufficient
funds to meet additional expenditures to Cover costs incurred to provide for
salary for an employee in the said Department; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners that an
emergency exists and the sum of $3,543.62 is necessary to meet such emergency
and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be
made; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an
appropriation of $3,543.62 be made for the Jefferson County Assessor's Office
to be used for Salaries.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Comrnis-
sioners' Chamber of Jefferson County on the 22nd day of October, 1979, at
the hour of 11:00 a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published in the
official newspaper of Jefferson County and that, at said hearing any inter-
ested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for
such alleged emergency.

Gentlemen:
Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number 514.24.11.21
of $ -537.48 of the Clerk Hire Fund is insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, I estimate that it will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mate amount of $ 3,543.62 for this current year for the following
reasons:
Mark McCready, Real Property Appraiser IV, BARS Account Number 514.24.11.07 was
fuuded by' CETA through September 30th, 1979.
I request 3 months emergency appropriation funding to complete 1979.
Mr. McCready will be on the Assessor's budget for 1980.
