RESOLUTION NO. 114-79
EMERGENCY FLOOD CONTROL
WHEREAS, the Big Quilcene River is in flood condition and is
endangering county roads and the life and property of county residents;
and
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Washington has authorized
funds, on a matching basis, to assist in removal of log jams and flood
control; and
WHEREAS, Jefferson County is committed to assist in this flood
control by furnishing rock rip-rap from the county quarry; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works is hereby
authorized and ordered to make available the rip-rap needed for this
emergency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rip-rap used from the Equipment
Rental & Revolving Fund Stores is to be paid to the Equipment Rental &
Revolving Fund from monies transferred from the unencumbered fund balance
of the Road Fund.
