RESOLUTION NO. 117-79
WHEREAS, due to excesive rainfall and heavy winds, certain areas
within Jefferson County have flood conditions; and
WHEREAS, rivers in the west end of said Jefferson County are flooding
and taking out bridges and roads; and
WHEREAS, the flooding condtion requires many people to abandon
their homes and will require emergency economic relief;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED the Board of Jefferson County Commis-
sioners hereby declares that a state of emergency exists in Jefferson
County which is beyond the resources of local government and hereby
request" State and Federal assistance. Such assistance, as set forth by
the Director of the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services, is
requested to be granted to Jefferson County for emergency economic relief
purposes.
