INTENT TO VACATE
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of
County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue
to maintain as a part of the County Road System:
All that portion of the Old Coyle Road, County
Road No. 16, as replaced by the new Coyle
Road, County Road No. 16 as constructed under
CRP No. 354, approved January 8, 1973, except
that portion now used as the Whitney Road,
County Road No. 16- 17.23.
Also, all that portion of the new Coyle Road,
County Road 16 between Engineering Station
699 +00 and Engineering Station 699 +50 between
30 feet and 80 feet on the left as constructed
under County Road Project No. 354 approved
January 8, 1973.
Both portions above described being in the
S � of the S i of the SW a of Section 27, Township
26 North, Range 1 W.W.M., Jefferson County;
and in contemplation of the language of the statute RCW 36.87.010, the
same is useless, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does
now declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby
directed to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether
this county road should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be
advisable to preserve said road for the County Road System in the future;

whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment,
and all other facts, matters and things which will be of importance
to the Board, and that such report be filed as soon as possible.
