HomeMy WebLinkAbout012 78RESOLUTION NO. %�7 -2& INTENT TO VACATE WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Commissioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County Road System: The South West corner of Lot 13 of the Plat of North Ludlow Beach Tracts as recorded in Volume 4 of Plats, Page 3, Records of Jefferson County, Washington running thence S 350 13' 46" E., along the northeasterly margin of Mats Mats County road (Port Ludlow Drive), a distance of 36.85 feet; thence S 890 43' 28" E, a distance of 369.25 feet; thence N 070 32' 46" W, a distance of 30.28 feet; thence N 890 43' 28 "W a distance of 386.53 feet to the true point of beginning. Together with tidelands of the record class lying in front thereof between the northerly and southerly lines of the above described parcel produced easterly. Also, Lot 13 of the above described Plat. It is further petitioned that the above parcel (access) be replaced by the North 30 feet of Lot 13 (in the future this will be the North 30' of the Plat of Port Ludlow #5) described as commencing at the NW corner of Lot 13, North Ludlow Beach Tracts thence N 880 35' 10" W, a distance of 504.00 feet; thence S 100 35' 43" E, a distance of 30.67 feet; thence N 880 35' 10" W, a distance of 489.20 feet; thence Northerly along Port Ludlow Drive a distance of 36.73 feet to the point of beginning. This together with the tidelands of record lying in front thereof between the northerly and southerly lines of the above described parcel on the easterly side; VOL 4 pxt 2,80 Reolution No. 12 -78 Page 2 and in contemplation of the language of the statute RCW 36.87.010, the same is useless, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this county road should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve said road for the County Road System in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandon- ment, and all other facts, matters and things which will be of impor- tance to the Board, and that such report be filed as soon as possible.
