WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners is responsible for the
general health, safety, and welfare of County citizens, and
WHEREAS, the effective and efficient transportation of people and goods is
related to the health, safety, and welfare of the County citizenry, and
WHEREAS, their exists a number of individuals, groups, and agencies inter-
ested in planning and coordinating transportation within the County, and
WHEREAS, said individuals, groups, and agencies can assist the Board of
County Commissioners in carrying out its many responsibilities,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board hereby creates a Transporta-
tion Advisory Committee;
That said Committee will adopt by-laws, set a schedule of times and places
for meetings, and be responsible for similar matters related to its functions,
and
That said Committee will from time to time report to, and apprise, this
Board as to transportation-related matters in Jefferson County, and
That said Committee will consist of one representative from each of the
following groups, agencies, departments, or companies:
Clallam-Jefferson Community Action Council
- Mayor's Staff, City of Port Townsend
Olympic Area Agency on Aging
Port Townsend Office of the State Department of Social and Health Services
- Jefferson County Public Works Department
- Jefferson County Planning Department
- Bayshore Enterprises, Inc.
- Stevens Stage Lines, Inc.
- Port Towns Yellow Airway Cab Company
