RESOLUTION NO. J 7-]/1
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of Health has requested an
emergency budget extension to cover costs incurred to provide additional
home health care, maternal and child care in Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, funds in the amount of $6,608.00 have been made
available through the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act to provide
home health care; and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Health has granted
$25,453.00 to the Jefferson Health Department to establish a Maternal
Child Health Program in Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board of County Commissioners, Jeffer-
son County, that a need and an emergency exists as could not have been
foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1978, and
the sum of $31,061.00 is necessary to meet such need and emergency and is
for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency is hereby declared,
that an appropriation of $31,061.00 be made for the Jefferson County Health
Department to be used as per~attached.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing be held on said
emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the County Commis-

sioners Chamber of Jefferson County on the . .,...-# day of/<I'u~..J , 1978, at
ulj
the hour of 10:30a.m., and that notice of said hearing be published in the
official newspaper of Jefferson County and that, at said hearing any inter-
ested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for
such alleged emergency.
