RESOLUTION NO. i/1- 78
WHEREAS, there was filed with the Auditor of Jefferson County
a petition for the formation of a cemetery district under the provisions
of R.C.W. 68.16, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, said Auditor having examined said petition and found
it to contain a sufficient number of signatures of qualified persons,
and transmitted the petition, with her certificate of sufficiency
attached, to the Board of County Commissioners, on the 5th day of June,
1978;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing shall be held
by the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners, in the Commissioner's
Chamber, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, at the
hour of 11:00a.m., on July 10, 1978, to consider the formation of a
Cemetery District at Quilcene, within the boundaries of School District
No. 48, as described in the following copy of the petition:
PETITION FOR FORMATION OF CEMETERY DISTRICT
SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 48
"The undersigned, who constitute not less than fifteen.percent of
the qualified registered electors who are residents of the hereinafter
described land and who are property owners or are purchasing property
under contract within such area, hereby respectfully petition the Board
of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, for the forma-
tion of a cemetery district." All property to be included in the pro-
posed cemetery district is as follows:
Beginning at a point where the township line between T27N and
T26N intersects with Quilcene Bay, thence west to thasection
corner common to: Section 36 T27N R4W; Section 31T27N R3W;
Section 1 T26N R4W; Section 6 T26N R3W' thence south to the
section corner common to Sections 25 and 36 T26N R4W; Sections
30 and 31 T26N R3W thence west to the section corner common to
Sections 33 and 34 T26N R8W; Sections 3 and 4 T2SN R8W thence
north to the section corner common to Sections 33 and 34 T28N
R8W; Sections 3 and 4 T27N R8W thence east, south, east and
north along the county line common to Jefferson and Clallam
Counties to the section corner common to Sections 28, 29, 32
and 33 T29N R2W thence east to the section corner common to
Sections 25 and 36 T29N R2W; Sections 30 and 31 T29N RIW
thence south to the section corner common to Sections 12 and
13 T28N R2W; Sections 7 and 18 T28N RlW thence east to the
section corner common to Sections 7,8, 17 and 18 T28N RlW'
thence south to the section corner common to Sections 31 and
32 T28N RIW; Sections 5 and 6 T27N RIW thence east to the
section corner common to Sections 33 and 34 T28N RIW;
Sections 3 and 4 T27N RIW thence south to the section corner
common to Sections 9, 10,15 and 16 T27N RIW thence east to
the section corner common to Sections 12 and 13 T27N RlW;
Sections 7 and 18 T27N RIE thence south to Hood Canal, thence
south, west and north through Hood Canal, Dabob Bay and
Quilcene Bay to the point of beginning.

Any taxpayer who wishes to do so may appear at the aforementioned
hour and date and be heard for or against the formation of said proposed
cemetery district.
