S 3 --7S4 WHEREAS, there was filed with the Auditor of Jefferson County, a petition for the purpose of forming a cemetery district under the provisions of RCW 68.16, et seq., and said Auditor having found and determined that said petition contains a suffi- cient number of signatures of qualified persons, and having attached thereto her certificate of sufficiency, accompanied by an obligation signed by two petitioners agreeing to pay the cost of publishing the notice of hearing for the formation of a cemetery district, and transmitted the same to the Board of County Commissioners, and said Board having fixed Monday, the 10th day of July, 1978, at the hour of 11:00 a.m. of said day in the Commissioner's Chamber, Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, as the time and place for the hearing of said petition, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has the full authority to hear and determine the petition; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing on the petition, said Board finds that the formation of a cemetery district would be conducive to the public welfare and convenience; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a cemetery district be formed in conformance with the following: 1. That the name and number of said district shall be Jefferson County Cemetery District No. 2; 2. That the boundaries of the cemetery district shall include all of the property described as follows: Beginning at a point where the township line between T27N and T26N intersects with Quilcene Bay, thence west to the section corner common to: Section 36 T27N RM Section 31 T27N R3W; Section 1 T26N R4W; Section 6 T26N R3W thence south to the section corner common to Sections 25 and 36 T26N R4W; Sections 30 and 31 T26N R3W thence west to the section corner common to Sections 33 and 34 T26N R8W; Sections 3 and 4 T25N R8W thence north to the section corner common to Sections 33 and 34 T28N R8W; Sections 3 and 4 T27N R8W thence east, south, east and north along the county line common to Jefferson and Clallam Counties to the section corner common to Sections 28, 29, 32 and 33 T29N R2W thence east to the section corner common to Sections 25 and 36 T29N R2W; Sections 30 and 31 T29N R1W thence south to the section corner common to Sections 12 and 13 T28N R2W; Sections 7 and 18 T28N R1W thence east to the section corner common to Sections 7, 8, 17 and 18 T28N R1W thence south to the section corner common to Resolution No. cont'd Sections 31 and 32 T28N R1W; Sections 5 and 6 T27N R1W thence east to the section corner common to Sections 33 and 34 T28N R1W;,Sections 3 and 4 T27N R1W thence south to the section corner common to Sections 9, 10, 15 and 16 T27N R1W thence east to the section corner common to Sections 12 and 13 T27N R1W; Sections 7 and 18 T27N R1E thence south to Hood Canal, thence south, west and north through Hood Canal, Dabob Bay and Quilcene Bay to the point of beginning. 3. Than an election be held within said boundaries in conjunction with the September 19, 1978 primary election to determine whether or not the district shall be organized under the provisions of RCW 68.16. 060, and for the purpose of electing its first cemetary district commissioners; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that: Alvin D. Jakeway Merrill W. Maberry Donald L. Ward having met the requirements for candidacy, the auditor is hereby instructed to place their names on the primary election ballot for election as Commissioners for Jefferson County Cemetery District No. 2.
