CONTINUATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 87-75
WHEREAS, due to the unprecented burden of legislative and
administrative duties and responsibilities imposed upon the Boards of
County Commissioners - salaries become one of consequence, and this
Board of County Commissioners does hereby recognize the fixing of
salaries commensurate with the duties and responsibilities thus imposed,
now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, under the authority of Chapter 88,
Laws of 1973 First Extraordinary Session, effective January 1, 1981,
that the salaries of the Jefferson County Commissioners be and the same
are hereby established as follows:
For the year 1979, the amount of $12,000.00
For the year 1980" the amount of $13,000.00
For the year 1981, the amount of $14,000.00
For the year 1982, the amount of $15,000.00
For the year 1983, the amount of $16,000.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Commissioners' salaries shall
be reviewed annually during the budget process. Should the economic
climate indicate that salary increases should not be paid or that
reductions should be made, such changes may be made by the Commissioners
without further resolution.
