RESOLUTION NO. t)g -7 8
WHEREAS, the Washington State Public Disclosure
Commission has adopted administrative regulations requiring muni-
cipal corporations to file lobbying reports if public funds or
the time of public employees is expended in communication with
members or the staff of the legislature or the Office of the
Governor to influence legislative action; and
WHE~, the Public Disclosure Commission has requested
that a consolidated report be prepared for each municipal corpora-
tion; and
WHEREAS, a policy is needed to establish how officers
and employees of this county shall comply with that requirement;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Office of the Board of Jefferson
County Commissioners shall have the responsibility of filing a
consolidated L-S Report for this county provided that all elected
officials and department heads of this county shall submit to the
aforesaid person quarterly reports, for their department and office
employees and themselves, on Public Disclosure Commission Form L-S,
not later than April 15th, July 15th, October 15th and January 15th
of each year so that the consolidated report for this county may be
filed on April 30th, July 30th, October 30th and January 30th of
each year. If no reportable activities have taken place within any
county office or department, a negative report shall nevertheless
be submitted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the consolidated report filed
by the Office of the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners on
behalf of this county shall indicate and identify the elected

officials and department heads who have not filed a quarterly
report with the aforesaid office.
