RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON
WHEREAS, JEFFERSON COUNTY is the record owner of the following
described real estate:
All that portion of the hereinafter described Parcel "A" lying within 50 feet on
either side of the centerline of SR 20, Chimacum Road to Port Townsend:
PARCEL "A":
Lots 4, 6, and 8 in Block 70 of L. B. Hastings 2nd Addition to the City of Port
Townsend, as per plat recorded in Volume 1 of Plats on page 29, records of
Jefferson County; EXCEPT the Easterly 4.66 feet of said Lot 4 AND EXCEPT
that portion of said premises lying in State Highway SR 20;
Situate in the City of Port Townsend, County of Jefferson, State of
Washington.
WHEREAS, in the improvement of SR 20, Chimacum Road to Port Townsend
by the State of Washington, Department of Transportation, it is necessary and advisable
for the State of Washington to acquire title to all ROADS and EASEMENTS, recorded and
unrecorded, rights and appurtenances thereto, located within the limits of said highway,
said lands for a right of way for said highway; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration by the Board of County Commissioners of
Jefferson County, it appears to the said Board that it will be in the best interests of both
Jefferson County and the State of Washington that Jefferson County convey said lands to
the State of Washington by quit claim deed for a consideration of mutual benefits;
NOW THEREFORE, be it hereby RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington that Jefferson County in accordance with
RCW 47.12.040 and through its Board of County Commissioners to deliver said deed to the
State of Washington, Department of Transportation.
