RESOLUTION NO. to 7-78
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE
JEFFERSON COUNTY SOLID WASTE
MANAGEMENT PLAN DATED JUNE, 1973
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, that
the Jefferson County Solid Waste Management Plan, adopted by Resolution No.
23-73, on the 18th day of June, 1973, is hereby amended by adding the following
additions and revisions:
Section 3, Parv VI Recyclable Materials
1. Bayshore Enterprises, Port Townsend 1S to be included as an
official recycling center for the area.
2. There shall be a salvage operation allowed at the sanitary
landfill covered by a written agreement between the salvager
and the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners.
Section 6, Part II Eastern Jefferson County Alternate No.2 and 3
1. The Jefferson County Department of Public Works will haul their
own bo~es between the drop box stations and the sanitary landfill
instead of the franchised garbage company. The county will
purchase their own equipment for this purpose.
Section 6, Part III Western Jefferson County Alternate No. 1
1. The establishment of the Hoh River Drop Box Station is to be
postponed indefinitely.
Section 8, Part II Financing Methods
1. The establishment of mandatory solid waste collection districts
is to be postponed indefinitely.
All of the above additions and revisions have been made as motions,
seconded and carried at various meetings of. the Solid Waste Advisory Committee
