PROPOSED FORMATION OF A RURAL COUNTY LIBRARY DISTRICT
FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON
WHEREAS, a petition for the formation of a Rural County Library
District for Jefferson County, Washington, has been filed with the Board
of Jefferson County Commissioners asking the question, "Shall a rural
county library district be established?"; and
WHEREAS, during the regular session of said Board of County
Commissioners held September 18, 1978, it was determined that the regis-
tered voters whose names appear on the Petition for the Formation of a
Rural County Library District for Jefferson County, represents over 10%
of the electors residing outside any incorporated area of Jefferson
County, as certified by the County Auditor; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Jefferson County Commissioners,
having determined that the petition was signed by the required number of
qualified petitioners, hereby directs the County Auditor to place the
Proposition for the Establishment of a Rural County Library District on
the ballot for the vote of the people of the county, outside incorporated
cities and towns, at the next succeeding general election to be held
November 7, 1978.
