RESOLUTION NO. 95-7r6J
INTENT TO VACATE
WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of
County Commissioners, that it is not in the public interest to continue to
maintain as a part of the County Road System, that portion of County Road
No. 64, formerly known as Permanent Highway No.5, within the Cedar Cove
Short Plat (Vol.l, Pg.66), lying more than 15 feet from each side of the
following described centerline:
Commencing at the ~ corner common to Sections 10 and 11,
Township 25 North, Range 2 West W.M.; thence North 2007'51"
East a distance 46.4 feet to intersect centerline County
Road No. 64 at Station l35~ + 51.7 as shown on location
mag of said County Road dated September 1919; thence South
50 30'33" West a distance 74.08 feet to the North boundary
of above said Short Plat and True Point of Beginning:
thence continuing South 50030'33" West a distance 228.22
feet to Station 1350 +49.4 being the Point of Tangency of
curve with a radius of 716.78 feet; thence along the arc
of the curve to left a distance 498.5 feet to t.he Point of
Curvature Station 1345 + 50.9; thence South 10037'33" West
a distance 186.53 feet to Station 1343 + 64.37 on the
South boundary of said Short Plat and the end of this
description;
and in contemplation of the language of the statute RCW 36.87.010, the
same is useless, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Commissioners does now
declare its intention to vacate and abandon said road, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed
to examine said road and report his opinion as to whether this County Road
should be vacated and abandoned; whether it will be advisable to preserve
said road for the County Road System in the future; whether the public will
be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and
things which will be of importance to the Boad; and that such report be
filed as soon as possible.
