Jefferson County BOCC
We are asking that the No Shooting Area located in the Greater Jolie Way and Silver Berry Place be GRANTED.
The shooters have all the rights - the Jefferson County Sportsmen's Association with the shooting range is already setup for them and provides safety to them and to the county they lose
nothing.
5 acre lots still is a small parcel when you are considering firearms -
Right now there is no consideration for the community, it feels like the few have taken away the rights of the community and yet they have lost nothing nor will they because the JCSA’s
shooting range is already available for them.
Factors why we support the request of No Shooting Area located in the Greater Jolie Way and Silver Berry Place:
* Noise - no peace and quiet for us or our furry families
* Safety - can we feel safe being on our property or even in our homes with people shooting next to us?
We are gun owners - we are not opposed to guns - we are opposed to the assault to us of the noise and concern for our safety and the safety of all in our area.
