Dear MRC Members,
Hope you're all enjoying this summery weather! If anyone is looking for something to do 10am-1pm this Friday, we'll be meeting at the rain garden on Benton and Clay St. to do some weeding
and may spread out from there if we have enough helping hands. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here. <https://www.eventbrite.com/e/july-port-townsend-rain-garden-workparty-tickets-3744512
32717> And as a quick reminder, our social BBQ this evening has been canceled - we'll look forward to rescheduling it later this summer.
Our next monthly meeting is 6-8pm on Tuesday, August 2nd. Our guest speakers will be Jason Morgan, presenting on the NW Straits Foundation's derelict crab pot removal project in Port
Townsend Bay, as well as Ella and Nathaniel Ashford, presenting on the MRC's and Sea Dragon's (Port Townsend STEM club) partnered efforts to locate and remove derelict crab pots using
an ROV (remotely operated vehicle) in Discovery Bay. Steve King will be joining to give a brief update from the City regarding the PT sewer outfall. We'll share some details about the
NWSI Collaborative Conservation Workshop taking place 11am-4pm on Sep 16 at Padilla Bay (see 1-pager attached and RSVP here <https://fs21.formsite.com/nwstraits/05y4jj0qcx/index.html>
