Isaac comes to Washington by way of Oregon, Colorado, Florida, and originally Massachusetts. We were drawn to Isaac’s passion for land stewardship and conservation along with his enthusiasm for fundraising. I was able to sit down and chat with Isaac about his background and what brought him to the Coalition. Read more <https://wildliferecreation.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21&id=1af31bc64d&e=8c3506b728> <https://mcusercontent.com/0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21/images/dcdc0310-f6ac-8c56-b2d6-1226d37ea98d.png> State Accepting Grant Applications for Trails, Boating Facilities, Kids Outdoor Education and Recreation and More The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) will begin accepting applications Aug. 10 for grants to provide outdoor education and recreation programs for kids and to build and maintain trails, boating facilities, and firearm and archery ranges. RCO is offering free, online workshops to showcase these grant opportunities and explain application requirements. RCO grants for boating, trails, and shooting ranges are the largest source of state funding for many of these outdoor recreation experiences. This is the only opportunity to apply for these grants until 2024. The purpose of the WDAC is to advise the director on matters pertaining to Wildlife Diversity (non-game species and habitat). At the Department’s request, the WDAC may focus on present or emerging issues as they relate to wildlife conservation. Examples include conservation priorities, species status recommendations, and wildlife area plans.
