From: Thera Black Sent: Tuesday, July 26, 2022 14:01 Subject: PRTPO Member Input Needed on 2023 Legislative Priorities - Very Quick Poll by Aug 3rd Please Importance: High Hi, everyone – PRTPO is reviewing and updating its legislative priorities for the 2023 session. We want to know what you think should be carried forward from 2022 and possibly added in 2023. Please follow this link <https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2023Priorities> and share your thoughts by August 3rd about priority topics PRTPO should highlight in its interactions with legislators later this year, and in its engagement with WSDOT and other RTPOs. It really will take just 5 minutes. You need a water break anyhow! The Legislative Work Group will use this input to develop a draft outline of the 2023 Transportation Outlook for the Executive Board to review and provide direction on in August. It will come back to the Board for approval in October before we begin scheduling the November legislative forum. This year’s Transportation Outlook is attached for context. We expect there will be interest again in developing a list of members’ projects and programs that demonstrate the range of transportation investment need across the region. In years past each PRTPO member put forward 1 or 2 projects they wanted featured, usually but not always a project in need of funding. We will discuss that in August as a separate part of developing this year’s legislative agenda. Today’s poll is specific to the narrative topics PRTPO will develop for the Transportation Outlook. Input from Board and TAC representatives is appreciated. There is value in a wide range of perspectives, especially right now as we try to identify the right mix of topics to feature next year. Please respond by the close of business on Wednesday, August 3rd. If you have any questions at all, please let me know. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your perspectives. Stay hydrated!
