Nationally: cases are declining, hospitalizations are flat, deaths are up 11%, mostly due to Ba.5 variant causing sever disease in under, or the un-vaccinated population.
WA State: cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are decreasing.
JeffCo: cases are declining, 1-new hospitalization, no additional deaths.
Gatherings, in-person/hybrid: Even with the high case count rates per 100,000 in JeffCo, in-person gatherings are acceptable. Quality KN95 or KF94 masks are recommended to be worn. Limit
room size to 50% capacity. keep the room well ventilated. Also, make available a hybrid option for those not comfortable with in-person gatherings at this time.
Monkeypox (MPV): No cases have been reported in JeffCo. However, there have been a number of high risk exposures reported. 166 cases reported in WA State. For additional information

The two-week COVID-19 case rate is 547. This week's new cases are the total number of cases reported to us from Saturday, July 30 through Friday, August 5.
Masking in public, indoor places is recommended, although no longer required, depending on the level of the Jefferson County COVID-19 case rate.
