Statement of Issue: Change Order No. 2 to the contract with Interwest Construction Inc. (ICI), for the construction of the JUMP! Project at HJ Carroll County Park Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's £t Con's: This contract is for the construction of a new all-inclusive playground at HJ Carroll County Park. This change order provides for the relocation of existing water and irrigation supply lines to avoid the new construction footprint. Additionally, it provides for the replacement of a non-operational yard hydrant and an upgrade to an electric vault so that it is ADA compatible. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: This change order will increase the contract amount by $6,339.57, from $759,070.50 to $765,410.07. Construction is funded through a combination of a $500,000 RCO Grant, a Jefferson County Capital Improvement Fund contribution of $550,000, and other grants, pledges and cash donations. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board execute three Change Order No. 1 documents with ICI and return two (2) originals to Public Works for further processing.
