Good day Peninsula & Coastal County Electeds and Human Services Staff,
I am Jani Hitchen and I am the WSAC representative on the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and People Task Force. I am reaching out to request your attendance at our next Community
Services Sub Committee meeting for the MMIWP Task Force. Our task force has been hard and work and we are offering meetings every month to focus on learning about the Community Services
available in different regions of our state for family members and survivors.
We are hosting a specific meeting for counties in the Coastal & Peninsula region of the state. I would like to invite you to join our September 2nd from 10:30am to noon. I have attached
the details and more about the Task Force. Please feel free to attend, and if you know of any organizations that work in victim services, social services, advocates, SUD, or any other
program that might cross paths with MMIWP we invite them to join us and share their stories, ideas and concerns. I ask that you forward this email and invite to some of the local groups
that you are familiar with or work with, to see if they might wish to attend. This can be truly anyone in your community that works with or provides services or could provide services
to support victims and families.
If you do have any questions, or want more information feel free to contact me.
