The State Attorney General's Office and attorneys representing approximately half of our 39 counties are in the final stages of one settlement and formula for distribution of the likely statewide settlement/judgment proceeds. Representatives of the State Attorney General’s Office will join during our Monday, August 15th Virtual Assembly to bring WSAC members up to date on the settlement and next steps that EACH COUNTY must take. Outside legal counsel representing the majority of the counties also engaged in the litigation will also be joining the meeting. This meeting is open to county officials for ALL counties, both those that are represented by outside counsel and those that did not participate in the litigation.
