WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of County Commissioners
for Jefferson County, that an account was set up in error in the County Treasurer's Office
known as the County Park Reserve Fund; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to transfer the amount of $12,753.87 from said County
Park Reserve Fund into the Current Expense Fund to be included into the County Park budget
for 1975 to be partially expended for the purpose of clearing the property known as the
"Sportsmens Shooting Range "; and
WHEREAS, the transfer and expenditure of such funds necessitates a budget ex-
tension for the County Park budget for 1975; and
WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists and that the necessity for the
transfer and expenditure of such funds could not have been reasonably foreseen by said
Board at the time of final adoption of said budget;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the foregoing facts constitute an emergency and
that the amount of funds creating said emergency is $12,753.87; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that notice of a public hearing upon such emergency
shall be given, said hearing to be held on Monday, the d y of 1975, at the
hour of ten o'clock, in the forenoon of said day, at the Commissioners Chamber in the
Jefferson County Courthouse, Port Townsend, Washington, and that at such hearing any
taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the transfer and budget extension for such
alleged emergency.
ADOPTED this 10th day of March, 1975.
