HomeMy WebLinkAbout018 75RESOLUTION NO. �/ � 1975 Resolution Establishing an Alcohol Administrative Board Va REAS, Chapter 155, §2, Laws of 1973, First Extraordinary Session (RCW 70.96.160) authorized any county of this state to establish an alcoholism administrative board, and M-1EREAS, it is to the benefit of the public that such an administrative board be established, new therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners that an Alcohol Administrative Board be and is hereby established,. The duties of the said administrative board shall be to: (1) Review and evaluate the alcohol treatment needs, services facilities and special problems of the area to be served by the cormunity alcoholism program. (2) Advise the County Commissioners as to a program of conuunity alcohol related services, which program shall reflect, the fullest feasible utilization of already existing services, and , >ahen appropriate, advise the County Commissioners concerning the appointment of a supervisor of community alcohol services. (3) Receive and review all applications for financial support under the provisions of this act submitted by a nom- profit corporation, Department of Social and Health Services, local alcohol treatment and education depart - ments, or supervisor of community alcohol services and submit recommendations concerning these applications to the Board or Boards of County Commissioners. (4) After adoption of a program, supervise the financial and service couponents of the alcohol program through the supervisor of community alcohol services, or through a non - profit corporation or corporations or a local alcohol. treatimnt or education department or any combination thereof in order to be assured that actual expenditures and programs remain consistent with the agreements contained in the application as provided. (5) Submit annually to the County Commissioners a report of the activities of the community alcohol program, including a financial accounting of expenditures. (6) Submit annually to the County Commissioners for approval a plan of proposed expenditures. (7) Perform any other act or service` or to hold and own property, real or personal, to the extent permitted by law. BE IT FUIMIER RESOLVED to assist.im performance of the functions of the Alcohol Administrative Board anrExecutive Directory may be appointed. Such Executive Director shall be appointed by the County'Comnissioners subject to approval ol: the said Administrative Board.
