WHEREAS, on December, 1974, the Board of Jefferson County
Commissioners passed Ordinance No. ..?-,-74/establishing a County Building
Code, and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of January, 1975, the City Council of the
City of Port Townsend passed Ordinance No. establishing a City Building
Code, and
WHEREAS, at the time the County Building Cade was established
it was contemplated that the building inspection required by the City of
Port 'Townsend, Ordinance No.Jxiwould be performed by the County's Building
Inspector and that the County Building Inspector would collect the fees for
the inspections as set out in the said Ordinance No./, and
WHEREAS, the County has collected fees totaling SIX HUNDRED FORTY -SIX
and 00 /100 Dollars ($646.00) for building inspections within the city limits
of Port Townsend, and
WHEREAS, Port Townsend now plans to provide for its own building inspection,

WHEREAS, the amount of Fifteen Percent (15 %) appears to be a reasonable
amount to charge for processing of those fees already collected by the County,
Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that of the SIX HUNDRED FORTY- SIX 'and 00 /100 Dollars ($646.00)
in building inspection fees collected by the County for inspections located
within the City of Port Townsend the amount of FIVE HUNDRED FORTY -NINE and 10 /100
DOLLARS ($549.10) (representing Eighty -Five Percen�t. �(85%) of the fees collected)

Gentlemen:
Please let this serve as official notice that the Port Townsend City
Council meeting in regular session on March 4, 1975, did unanimously
vote to impliment the Uniform Building Code by hiring its own inspector
to process all applications within the corporate limits of said city.
