WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Board of Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, that the Jefferson County Museum is being given the opportunity to establish a Resource Center for Victorian restoration and preservation of homes under the auspices of the Washington State Capitol Museum in Olympia, Wash- ington; and WHEREAS, said opportunity causes the matter of meeting an emergency to provide additional funds in the amount of three thousand, nine hundred dollars and no cents ($3,900.00) for the purpose of hiring a staff member to be considered as a "Research Person" to assist the Director of the Jefferson County Museum; and WHEREAS, expenditure of such funds was not included in the 1975 budget of said county; and WHEREAS, it appears to the Board that such an emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or contemplated at the time of making the budget for 1975 and the sum of $3,900.00 is necessary to meet such emergency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that the appropriation be made; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that an emergency is hereby declared, that an appropriation of $3,900.00 be made for the aforementioned Museum for the purpose as set forth from Federal Revenue Sharing Funds.. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public, hearing be held on said emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County on the 5th day of May, 1975, at the hour of 10 :00a.m. and that, at said hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
