In the matter of
cleaning road debris
from Chimacum Creek
WHEREAS, heavy rainfall in February' 1969 caused the washout of a Jefferson
County highway culvert on the Eaglemount Road No. 87 and,
WHEREAS, the adjacent embankment contained gravel and debris which was
carried into Chimacum Creek and,
WHEREAS, said gravel and· debris raised the streambed of Chimacum Creek
so that the stream flow was impeded and.,
Wi[-~REAS, this Board desires to alleviate the burden on adjacent property
caused by said washout ~
NOW, HEREBY BE IT RESOLVED, that:
The Jefferson County Highway Department is instructed to remove the
gravel and debris from Chimacum Creek having been deposited by said washout
and also,
BE IT RESOLVED that, the County Engineer determine in his best judgment
the areas of the Creek that have been affected· by this debris and have this
debris removed at a cost not to exceed $2,500.00.
