WHEREAS, due to "the unprecented burden of legislative and
administrative duties and responsibilities imposed upon the Boards
of County Commissioners - salaries become one of consequence, and
this Board of County Commissioners does hereby recognize the fix-
ing of salaries commensurate with the auties and responsibilities
thus imposed, now
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, under the authority of Chapter
88, Laws of 1973 First Extraordinary Session, effective January 1,
1977, salaries of Jefferson County Commissioners be and the same
are hereby fixed in the sum of $10,000.00 per annum, the same to
be in force and effect for a period of one year with annual raises
in the amount of $1,000.00 per year commencing 1978 and continuing
through 198.0. Commencing January 1, 1981, raises shall be set
con~ensurate with the obligations and responsibilities of said
Board.
