ORDER
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners, Jefferson County,
did by Resolution No. 28 -77, adopted on the 25th day of April, 1977,
declare that an emergency existed to provide additional funds for the
Assessor's Office in the sum of $5,530.00; and set a hearing on said
emergency for May 9, 1977, at the hour of 11:00a.m.; and
WHEREAS, said County funds shall be reimbursed in total by
the United States under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA);
and
WHEREAS, notice of said hearing was published for one week
in the local newspaper as required by law; and
WHEREAS, at the time of set hearing there were no objections
or objections interposed;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED by the Board of County Commissioners,
that there be and there is hereby appropriated for the County Assessor's
Office the sum of $5,530.00 in unexpended funds to provide for salaries
and wages; and be it
FURTHER ORDERED, that the County Auditor be, and she is hereby
empowered to draw warrants against the following accounts, not exceeding
the gross amounts so appropriated to wit:
514.24.11.007 Appraiser $4,900.00
514.24.13.001 O.A.S.I. 237.00
514.24.13.002 Retirement 343.00
$5,530.00
unless a review is applied for within five days from date hereof-.

Please be advised that after a thorough examination of my current budget
it appears that the budgeted amount in BARS Account Number 514.24.11.007
Of $ 3,500.00 of the C.E.T.A� Fund is insufficient to pay
necessary expenses of this department for this year. After a careful
examination of the expenditures under this fund in previous years, and a
thorough examination of the present needs of this department under the
current year, I estimate that it will be necessary to have an additional
appropriation in the form of an emergency appropriation in the approxi-
mate amount of $ 5,330.00 for this current year for the following
reasons:
514.24.11.007 Appraiser $4,900.00
514.24.13.001 O.A.S.I. $287.00
514.24.13.002 Retirement $343.00
$5,530.00
Accordingly, I request permission from the Board of County Commissioners
for an emergency appropriation in the sum of $ 5,530.00 for the cur-
rent year.
