RESOLUTION NO. 5~-77
WHEREAS, Part 51, of Subpart D of Title 31, Code of Federal
Regulations, amended October, 1975, authorizes the expenditure of
Revenue Sharing funds for the acquisition of property for recreational
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners have made purchase
offer to acquire the following described property for the reasons so
stated:
Lots 5 through 12 inclusive in
Block 11, Bracken's Addition to
the City of Port Townsend; and
All of Block 24, Bracken's Addition
to the City of Port Townsend;
both sections of described real estate of which are to be utilized
for public recreation under the directorate of the Jefferson County
Fair Board; and
the entirety of Tax No. 2 and
Tax No. 15 consisting of 13.3 acres
more or less within Section 23,
Township 27N, Range 2 W.W.M.
which is to be utilized as a recreational park;
WHEREAS, notice was published in the local newspaper that a
public hearing would be held at this time and place for the purpose
of appropriating Revenue Sharing funds for the purchase of the above
described parcels of land for recreational use by the public, and no
objection was presented;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Auditor be, and she
is hereby authorized to draft a warrant in the amount of six thousand,
one hundred and 00/100 dollars ($6,100.00) from the Federal Revenue
Sharing fund for the purchase of lots 5 through 12 inclusive, in Block
11, Bracken's Addition to the City of Port Townsend;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that warrants be drafted from the
Federal Revenue Sharing fund in the amounts of three thousand, eight
hundred fifteen and 00/100 dollars ($3,815.00), payable on installments
with the first payment due upon final execution of this instrument as
dated below, with subsequent payments due the month of January, 1978,
and each following January until the amount of fifteen thousand, two

hundred sixty and 00/100 dollars ($15,260.00) has been paid in full
for the purchase of all of Block 24 in Bracken's Addition to the
City of Port Townsend;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a warrant be drafted from
the Federal Revenue Sharing fund in the amount of twenty seven
thousand, nine hundred thirty and 00/100 dollars for the purchase
of Tax No. 2 and Tax No. 15 consisting of 13.3 acres more or less
within Section 23, Township 27 North, Range 2 W.W.M.
