RESOLUTION NO. 7/--77
WHEREAS, Jefferson County entered into contract with the
Employment Security Department whereby certain expenditures of the
county used to provide unemployed and underemployed persons with
employment in needed public services become reimbursable by the United
States under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA); and
WHEREAS, a special program known as "The Jefferson County
Community Improvement Project" was established tp implement specific
action elements from plans and programs designed to increase the level
of service for a variety of public needs; and
WHEREAS, the 1977 budget is inadequate due to the unfore~
seen necessity for such expenditures, and a supplemental budget for said
funds has been prepared by the county auditor, a detailed copy of which
is hereto attached and made a part hereofiand
WHEREAS, it appears to the Board that an emergency exists as
could not have been forseen or contemplated at the time of making the
budget for 1977 and is for the best interests of Jefferson County that
the appropriation be made;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency is hereby declared,
that appropriations be made for the purpose as set forth.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Auditor be, and she
is hereby authorized to draw warrants against the following account:, not
exceeding the gross amounts so appropriated to wit:
