CAROLINE STREET PORT ANGEt..ES, WASH. 98362 BRAN,CH OFFICE: COURTHOUSE PORT TOWNSEND, WASH. 9CM8 Walter Kelly, Chairman Jefferson County Commissioners Jefferson County Courthouse Port Townsend, Washington 98368 Dear Mr. Kelly I sincerely hope that we will not need to hospitalize anyone from Jefferson County because of tuberculosis during 1974. If any new cases are diagnosed we will attempt to follow the new state pattern to work with the attending physician and others to see that adequate treatment is carried out as an outpatient. However, if a case or cases do occur that do need hospitali- zation we will have to have an approved budget in order to approve payment. Therefore, the inclosed is my proposed budget for 1974. I will appreciate your approval. Thank you. It was proposed at the last Board of Health meeting that unused Hospitali- zation money can be 'Used in the future to support the program of the Olympic Health District and thus reduce the needs for money from the counties and cities general funds. It was also proposed that we keep a minimum of $3t~600.00 in the Hospital fund at the beginning of the calendar year. This, of course, assumes that there is at least this amount in the fund at the end of the previous year's business.
