A RESOLUTION, IN THE MATTER OF A HOUSING RECONNAISSANCE FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY.
WHEREAS, it is of benefit to both the public and private sector of Jefferson
County to beCOMe aware of the County's housing supply and demand, and
WHEREAS, developnent of the Trident Naval Project in Kitsap County, and a
possible expansion of U.S. Navy f'acilities on Indian Island, may
cause increased pressure on Jefferson County's housing supply, and
WHEREAS, the Washington State Office of Community Development will provide H.U.D.
701 Planning Grant Funds for a Housing Supply and Demand Reconnaissance
of Jefferson County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners enter into
a contract with the Office of Cormnunity Development for said grant funds,
and that the Chairman of the Board is authorized to endorse all
necessary contracts, subcontracts, and ducuments related thereto.
