Gentlemen
The Olympic Health District Board of Health adopted a policy whereby
available Tuberculosis Control tax funds will be made available to the
Olympic Health District Pooling Fund to support the Tuberculosis Con-
trol and other activities (exclusive of hospitalization) carried out by
the Department ,in order to reduce the need for funds from the Counties
and Cities in the District.
The Jeffp.rson County Treasurer's office reports a balance in the Jefferson
COUllty 'l'uberculosis Control Funrl as of December 31, 1973 in the amount
of ~?17,456.47. This includes a balance of $3,798.95 as of December 31,
1972. This amount plus part of the 1974 tax allocation is included in
the District Health Department budget for 1974.
j;ow that Clallam County has transferred the unexpended Tuberculosis Con-
trol funds through December 31, 1973 to the Health District Pooling Fund,
it i::, hereby requested that you authorize the Jefferson County Treasurer
to transfer $17,456.47 from the Jefferson County Tuberculosis Control
Fund to the Olympic Health District Pooling Fund at this time. This will
put Clallam and Jefferson Counties on an equal basis as far as this fund
is concerned.
