WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for Jefferson
County having been advised by the Presiding Judge of our
Superior Court that due to increased jury business additional
appropriation needs to be made to carryon the Court's business1
and
WHEREAS, it appears that an emergency exists and that the
expenditure of additional funds could not have been reasonably
foreseen at the time of making said budget; and
WHEREAS, this is a stated meeting date of said Board, now
therefore,
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the aforesaid facts constitute
an emergency and the estimated amount of funds to be appro-
priated to meet such an emergency is $700.00, under Superior
Court Budget classifications as follows:
(a) 116-512-70-31-001 (Bailiff) for additional $250.001
(b) 116-512-70-42-002 (Miscellaneous Other Expenses) for
additional $450.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the foregoing appropriation is
necessary to meet mandatory expenditures required by law. This
emergency resolution and appropriation shall become effective
as of this date without further notice or hearing.
ADOPTED Monday, the 26th day of August, 1974.

RE: Superior Court Budget #116-512-70
Gentlemen:
Upon examination of the above captioned budget, it would
appear that we will need additional funds in the following
categories:
(1) 31-001---Bailiff. Please increase to a total of
$750.00, which is an additional $250.00j and
(2) 42-002---Miscellaneous Other Expenses. Please increase
to a total of $600.00, which is an additional $450.00.
It is possible that there may be other funds needed,
depending upon the number of jury cases );.h9-t,. w~, x:nay have"during
the balance of the year. If so, we wilr';a~vise you in ample
time of such need.
The above expenditures could not have been reasonably
foreseen when estimated expenses were submitted in October of
1973.
