Mazda, et al Jefferson County No. 8441 Dear Mr. Daly: We have just been contacted by the attorneys representing plaintiff Grim and they have offered to withdraw their appeal on Grim vs. Jefferson County provided that we in turn dismiss our champerty action in its entirety. As you know, the Grim vs. Jefferson County action involved rather severe injuries to Robin Grim and the complaint was sub- stantially in excess of the limits of liability insurance of the County. While we feel confident that the jury verdict would not be disturbed on appeal, we would, nevertheless, recommend accepting the above proposal. In order to take this action, however, I feel that a resolution of the County Commissioners would be necessary. If the Commissioners are agreeable to proceeding as outlined herein, would you please prepare the necessary resolution and advise us as to whether and when we may enter a stipulation and order of dismissal as regards this ca se .
