HomeMy WebLinkAbout080 74 RESOLUTION NO. g'd - :> ;/ DECLARATION OF EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Board of County Comnissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, being convened in regular session, all members present, and the Board having before it the matter of meeting a public emergency to provide additional funds for the County Law Library to obtain a legal encyclopedia~ law journals, and related legal publications; WHEREAS, the budget for 1974 is inadequate due to the unforeseen necessity for such expenditures; v']BEREAS, it appears to the Board that such an emergency exists as could not have been foreseen or conterrplated at the time of n:a.k1ng the budget fo;):;' 1914 and the sum of $2,800 is necessary to meet such emergency and is for the best interests of Jefferson County and that the appropriation be made; THEREFQRE, BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency is hereby declared~ that an from Federal Revenue Sharing funds appropriation of $2,800 be made/for the aforementioned department for the purpose as set forth. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a pubU,c, hearing be held an sa,id emergency appropriation and that said hearing be held at the office of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County on the 20th day of January, 1975 at the hour of 10: 00 a.m., and the Auditor of Jefferson County be and hereby is directed to publish notice of said hearing in the official newspaper of Jefferson County and that, at such hearing any interested taxpayer may appear and be heard for or against the appropriation for such alleged emergency.
