definitions in each jurisdiction. Instead, this list provides a starting point to compare different policies,
implementation practices, and regulatory approaches that are codified. Click on the name of the County

King County: 19A.08.070: Determining and maintaining legal status of a lot.
Skagit County: 14.06.045: Lot Certification; 14.16.850(4) Development of Lots of Record.
Whatcom County: 20.83.060 Lots of record.
Kitsap County: KCC Chapter 16.62: Legal Lot Determination
Port Townsend: 18.18.030 Approval criteria – All lots of record.
Note* Clallam and San Juan Counties do not have specific code language for determining eligibility but
have internal, administrative processes available for such determinations are the request of applicants.
