HomeMy WebLinkAbout038 72 RESOLUTION NO. ,-J,f ~/'.f REVALUATION COSTS REIATIVE TO PHYSICAL INSPECTIONS WHEREAS, pursuant to compliance with R.C.W. 84.41.030, and the rules and regulations established by the Department of Revenue of the State of Washington, the cost of revaluation is one of the major costs of running the Assessor's Office, and WHEREAS, such cost could be reduced twenty-five to thirty per cent by means of a physical inspection of property every six (6) years with an updating every two (2) years, and WHEREAS, taxpayers are understandably reluctant to provide mon- ey that is not absolutely necessary for the good of all, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSION.::. ERS, JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON, that such Board supports the posi- tion to provide that the Assessor shall physically inspect all property assess- ment purposes every six (6) years instead of every four (4) years.
