RESOLUTION NO. 46-71
WHEREAS, the Clallam-Jefferson Juvenile Court District is now
operating under monies budgeted separately by~~the said counties; and
WHEREAS, such separate budget procedures cause confusion and
inconvenience and results in a lack of overall program understanding and
critical evaluation by elected officials; and
WHEREAS, these said problems could be minimized by considera-
tion of the proposed annual budget of the Juvenile Court by a committee con-
sisting of a representative from both Clallam and Jefferson County Boards of
Commissioners; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Jefferson County Board of
Commissioners that it is hereby agreed to annually, prior to adoption of the
Preliminary Juvenile Court Budget, to appoint one(l) member of said Board
to meet with a Commissioner of Clallam County as a budget review committee
at a mutually agreed time to jointly consider with the district probation office
and make such changes as are deemed necessary in the said budget and to sub-
mit the respective portion of the approved total preliminary budget to each
Board for final consideration and adoption; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Juvenile Court Probation
Officer shall, starting in 1972, act as a technical adviser to the budget review
committee and formulate his blklget according to law and as follows:
1) Prepare a budget which indicates the total costs and usual divis-
ion of such costs.
2) Prepare partial budgets indicating the total costs and usual divis-
ion of such costs to be allotted to each participating county; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall be null and
void if concurrent and agreeable action is not taken by the Clallam County
Board of Commissioners prior to June 1 st., 1972.
