HomeMy WebLinkAbout025 70 e e RESOLUTION NO. ,f..6~ ?tJ A RESOLUTION"DESIGNATING JEFFERSON COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NO.5, FIXING THE BOUNDARIES THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN ELECTION THEREIN TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE DISTRICT SHALL BE ORGANIZED, AND TO ELECT FIRST COMMISSIONERS, AND NAMING THREE RESIDENT ELECTORS AS CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION AS THE FIRST CO[.iJMISSIONERS. ~mEREAS, pursuant to the statute provided, a hearing was had on July 6, 1970, to consider the Petition for Formation of a Fire Protection District within the boundaries hereinafter described, and VJHEREAS, after hearing duly held, upon noti ce given, the Board of County Commissioners determined that the lands hereinafter described will be benefitted by the creation of a Fire Protection in said described boundaries, and that said district will be conducive to the public safety, welfare a nd convenience, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMlfllSSIO~~RS FOR JEFFERSON COUNTY, WASHINGTON, IN REGULAR SESSION ASSEMBLED, that: Section 1. It will be conducive to the public safety, welfare and convenience to form a fire protection district in said Jefferson County within the boundaries described as follows: Section 8, the west ~ of section 9, the west ~ of section 16, sections 17, 18, 19, 20, the west ~ of section 21, the west hal' of section 28, sections 29, 30, 31, 32 and the west ~ of section 33 in township 29 north, range 1 west, W. M. Sections 5,,6,;7, 8, 18, 19 and 30 in township 28 north, range 1 west, W. M. Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 in township 28 north, range 2 west, W. M. All bf township 29 north, range 2 west, W. M. Sections 27, 28, 33, 34, 35 and 36 in township 30 north, range 2 west, W. M. Section 2. The name and number of said Fire Protection District shall be "Jefferson Oounty Fire Protection District No. .5." Section 3. The boundaries of Jefferson County Fire Protection Di stri ct No. 5 shall be those set forth in the lands in described in Section 1 hereof.. , Section 4. The Supervisor of Elections for Jefferson County, Washington is here and hereby directed to cause an election to be held in said Fire Protection District No.5 on September 15, 1970, in the manner provided by law, for the purpose of submitting to the electors therein the proposition as to whether or not said district shall be organized, and, if so, to elect its first commissioners. Section 5. The said board of County Commissioners here and hereby names Norman P. Robison, Holland F. Barrett,and John A. Brown, resident electors of Jefferson County Fire Protection District No.5, as candidates for the position of first commissioners in said fire protection district, pursuant to the statute made and provided.
