HomeMy WebLinkAbout040 70 ~4 . ,/ 411bTENTION TO VACATE e RESOLUTION NO.-j/~,-?d WHEREAS, after due consideration, it appears to this Board of County Canrnis- sioners that it is not in the public interest to continue to maintain as a part of the County road system: 1. All those portions of the old Oak Bay Road, County Road No. 10, from the east boundary of Section 12, T. 29N, R. 1 ~I northwesterly to the west boundary of Block 7 of BayView Addition to Hadlock. Except- ing therefrom those portions lying within the rights of way for platted streets and the Oak Bay Road, CoYilty Road No. 10, as constr- ucted under CRP No. 165, approved Aug. 9, 1957. 2. All that portion of the old Quilcene-Center Road, County Road No. 18, from the northeasterly right of way line of County Road No. 18- 3.50 to the east line of Gov. Lot 4 of Sec. 5, T. 27N, R. IWV14. Excepting therefrom that portion lying wi thin the right of way of County Road No. 18 as constructed under CRP No. 289, approved April 17, 1967. 3. All that portion of County Road No. 3:1.4, Irondale Street, over and across Block 42 of the Town of Irondale. 4. All of West Leland Road, County Road No. 30-7.85 in its entirety. 5. All that portion of the Lords Lake Loop Road, County Road No. 30, in Gov. Lot 2 of Sec. 26, T. 28N, R. 2WWM, that extends north- westerly 240 feet from the northwesterly shoreline of Lake Leland at the site of the old Lake Leland Bridge. 6. All that portion of the old Port Townsend-Chimacum Road, Courrty Road No. 12, from the north-south quarter section line of Sec. 34, T. 30N, R. lWWM, northwesterly to the northeasterly right of way line of County Road No. 12 as constructed under CRP No. 107 (Contract 4510) approved Hay 18, 1953. 7. All those portionsHof',the old Swansonville Road, County Road No. 90, in the S~ of the SW% and the ~ of the SE~ of Sec. 5, T. 28N, R. 1 EWE, the NWt of the NEt and the SE% of the ~ of Sec. 8, T. 28N, R. lEWI'1. Excepting therefrom those portions lying within the rights of way for platted streets, the Johnny Werner Road, County Road No. 90-0.97, and the Swansonville Road, County Road No. 90, as constructed under CRP 105 approved April 11, 1952 and CRP 100 approved June 6, 1951. 8. All that portion of the old Quilcene-Center Road, County Road No. 18, from the northeasterly right of way line of state Route No. 164 easterly to the northwesterly right of way line of the existin~ Quilcene-Center Road, County Road No. 18, in the r~ of the r~x and the NVl~ of the ~ of Sec. 16, T. 28N, R. l~. ..~. ~ e e 9. All that portion of the Wykoff Road, County Road No. 34-0.16, from the north line of the ~ of the swi of the NHi of Sec. 36, T. 29N, R. 2W\<tT, southerly to Snow Creek. 10. All those portions of the old Chimacum Creek Road, County Road No. 12-1.54, from the easterly right of way line of County Road No. 12, Airport Cut-off section, easterly to the north-south quarter sec- tion line of Sec. 34, T. 30N, R. 1~'1. Excepting therefrom those portions lying within the right of way of County Road No. 12-1.78, as constructed under CRP 231, approved Feb. 2, 1962. 11. All that portion of the old Ludlow-Shine Road, County Road No.8, in C'JOverment Lots 4 and .5 of Sec. 17, T. 28N, R. lEVJl1. Except- ing therefrom that portion lying within the right of way of the Port Ludlow-Paradise Road, County Road No. 6 as constructed under CRP 292 approved Jan. 16, 1967. and in contemplation of the language of the statute, R. C. \-1. 36.87.010, the same are useless, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, and this Board of County Cormnissioners does now declare its intention to vacate and abandon said roads, and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, and the County Road Engineer is hereby directed to examine said roads and report his opinion as to whether these county roads should be vacated and abandoned; whether any is in use or has been in use; the conditions thereof, and whether it will be adviseable to preserve said roads for the county road system in the future; whether the public will be benefited by the proposed abandonment, and all other facts, matters and things which will be of importance to the Board; and that such report be filed as soon as practicable.
