RESOLUTION No.
20-69
Pursuant to Proclamation, of the President of the
United States ~erin he requests that all citizens join
in and participate with each other in recognition of the
eftorts of our astronauts in the progress of Apollo II,
the greatest epoch in the world history of science, th.~efore,
BE IT RESOLVED that all public business, except those
necessary functions, be suspende~ on Monday the 21st day of
July, 1969, and in furtherance hereof the elected and
appoint;;t.:;V',e officers vf Jefferson County may close their
respective offices and that highway and maintenance may be
dispensed within the county.
PRUVIDED HOWEVER, that this resolution shall not affect
the calendared business to be, considered 'by this Board, or
any other busine 58 that may be prQperly presented at the
statutory stated meeting of July 2l, 1969.
ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 1969.
